Founder & CEO

Laura Adamgbo, MA, LPC, RPT-S

Laura is the founder and clinical director for the practice.

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and I provide mental health counseling. I graduated from Alfred University in NY receiving my B.A. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Towson University, MD. I have extensive training and experience in treating child and adolescent behavior concerns. I have almost 20 years of experience working as a psychotherapist.

I am a Registered Play Therapy-Supervisor (RPT-S) and use play therapy techniques with my child clients. Typical concerns that I treat with children are ADHD, Social Anxiety, School Anxiety, Divorce, Trauma.

I am also very passionate about perinatal mood disorders and have received training in this sub-field. I see new and returning mothers who struggle with Post-partum anxiety and depression.

I work with couples to strengthen their relationships, offer divorce counseling, co-parenting counseling. Lastly, I am a Certified EMDR therapist, trained to treat traumas and PTSD.

In my free time, I enjoy playing with my 3 kids and getting involved in community projects.

Maria von Stamwitz, M.ED, PLPC

Hi! I'm Maria and my passion is in helping young children, families and couples. I have a master's degree in counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. I have worked as a mental health clinician at a local suicide crisis hotline, a case manager for a local MH center providing counseling and case management services.

I specially love to work with very young children ages 4 and up to provide early counseling intervention. I'm happy to share that I have evening and some weekend hours currently available. I'm currently under supervision with Laura Adamgbo.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing volleyball, reading novels and spending time with my cats.
